Dear Guardians and Students of HMS

It is my pleasure to welcome you to another year at Hoisington Middle School.  I am honored for the opportunity to be the Principal at HMS and I am as committed as ever to making a positive impact in the lives of our students.  This year will focus on the process of becoming elite learners, which is simply being better today than we were yesterday, and being better tomorrow than we were today.  We will work hard on creating positive energy by having a great attitude and effort everyday.  We will stress the importance of treating people really, really well and having unconditional gratitude for every situation and view them as opportunities to learn and grow as individuals and as a school.  Using the Cardinal Core Values of Honesty, Accountability, Responsibility, Respect, and Leadership as guiding principles our students will enhance their personal, social, and character development and prepare themselves to be successful at the next level of their education.

With each year there is change and this year is no different.  This year includes several changes to teaching assignments as well as new additions to the HMS staff.  First, Nick Flowers will be our middle school AD.  Next, Shari Blase has moved to 7th & 8th Grade Social Studies and Augustus Anders will now teach Engineering Technology and Robotics.  Finally, our new teachers include Kelsey Bieberle in Special Education.  Samuel Hill will be teaching our Career & Life Planning, Computers, and Study Skills.  Kiley Klug will be teaching  7th & 8th Grade Language Arts.  Emily Mooney will be teaching 6th & 7th Grade Science and 7th Grade Language Arts.  I am excited to see what our new team members and our whole team of great teachers will do in the classroom.

As we get closer to the start of the year, please be aware of the following information.
