The USD 431 Board of Education Meeting tonight has been postponed due to the weather. The new date for the January Board of Education meeting will be Monday, January 15, 2024 at 7:00pm at the USD 431 District Office, 165 West 3rd Street, Hoisington, KS 67544. Just a friendly reminder from USD 431, earlier in the year there was a calendar change. Monday, January 15th will be a FULL DAY of school. There will be No School on Monday, February 19th for Teacher In-Service.

From the Hoisington Public Library: Kansas Reads to Preschoolers will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 11th at Hoisington Public Library, 169 S. Walnut. Liz Gruis will read a story and her dog Luna will also be there.

USD 431 if you are receiving all calls the system has updated and there are additional numbers receiving information. If you would like more than one number on the all call list you can update your information under forms on PowerSchool or even through the PowerSchool App.

Last night at the USD 431 Board of Education Meeting the 2023-2024 calendar was revised. This revision was to make it possible for USD 431 to attend an in-service at Lyons High School on President's Day, February 19th, 2024.
The Changes:
January 15th will now be a full school day with teachers and students.
February 19th will now be an In-Service day with No Students.

This Thursday and Friday evenings we at USD 431 would like to welcome you to the updated Elton Brown Field and Bill Kimble Track. The field is complete and we take great pride in the partnership with ATG to provide our athletes and community with such a fine surface.
We are not yet completely finished with the Track and surface. Although it is safe to walk and stand on please be careful not to dig into the surface. In the coming weeks they will be putting the top coat on the track, giving the track a red top surface with grey exchange zones. Then to put the finishing touches on the track they will be back one last time to paint the lanes and other markings on the track and runways.
As we move forward, please understand this has been a long process which we would like to see last the for many years to come. Please do your best to take care of and ask your children to assist in taking care of this facility.
