The Cardinal Football squad opened up district play tonight with a convincing 58-6 win over Nickerson on Homecoming. HHS will take to the road next Friday for another district game.

Kaelynn is an active and dedicated student who is involved in tennis, has served as a wrestling manager, and is currently serving as FCCLA president. What really stands out about Kaelynn is her willingness to help others. Whenever she commits to something—or whenever her group is involved in an activity—she makes sure there is enough help and that things get done. Even when she’s tired or has a lot on her plate, Kaelynn always has a smile and a kind word for those around her. Props to the Cardinal Golf Team for their 5th place performance in the rain today at the Nickerson Invitational. HHS was led by Samantha Lovett who earned 13th place medalist. The girls will host the annual Cardinal Classic at Lake Barton next Monday.

CROSS COUNTRY CANCELLED... Today's meet in Larned has been scratched due to inclement weather. A make up date will be posted at a later time.

The HHS Volleyball Team swept their triangular in Pratt this afternoon. The Cardinals beat the host Greenbacks 25-8, 25-21 and Haven 25-13, 25-13. Next Up: Home Cardinal Classic this Saturday beginning at 9am. Come out and support our state ranked team!

Congratulations to the Cardinal Tennis Team for sharing 1st Place🥇at the Central Plains Invitational today. HHS #1 Singles (Mila Simic) and #2 Singles (Annabelle Gonzalez) both went undefeated on the day. The Varsity will be back in action Saturday at Trego County.

Congratulations to the Cardinal Volleyball Team for their 3rd Place finish in the Russell Tournament today. HHS went 3-2 on the day and avenged an early morning loss over Goodland in the finale. Next up: League triangular at Pratt on Tuesday.

The Cardinal Football Team lost at home tonight to Cheney 27-0. HHS will be back in action vs Nickerson next Friday for our Homecoming game at 7pm.

The Cardinal Tennis 🎾 Team took to the courts in the Ellsworth Invitational today. HHS was led by Mila Simic (Soph) who took 2nd place 👏👏 Other results were: Annabelle Gonzalez (4th #2 Singles), Aubree Martin/Braylin Rossman (8th #1 Doubles), and Miette Kaiser/Callie Loesch (4th #2 Doubles).

The HHS Cross Country team competed at the Herington Invitational tonight. Props to Brody Rossman for his 2nd place🥈finish. James Kimbrough took 25th place in the Varsity Boys Division as well. In the Girls Varsity Division, Tristin Compton finished in 8th place and frosh Jensynn Williams 15th.

The Cardinal Golf Team competed on a hot day in Larned Thursday, and all the girls finished in the top 25. Alaina Rubio shot a 108 to lead the way and an 11th place finish. Samantha Lovett finished 14th, Rilynn Crawford 23rd, and Olivia Chambers 24th.

Due to the predicted 🥵 tomorrow, the times for the MS/HS Cross Country meet in Herington have been adjusted. Here is the updated schedule: 5:30 MS will all run together 6:00 JV/V girls 6:45 JV/V boys

The Cardinal Volleyball Team split a pair of CKL matches tonight in Larned. HHS lost the opener to Hillsboro 25-23, 25-16 and bounced back to beat the host Indians 25-17, 25-19. Next up: Russell Tournament this Saturday.

The Cardinal Golfers ⛳️ battled the heat again today at Pratt, but posted some improving scores. Alaina Rubio finished 16th, Olivia Chambers 22nd, and Rilynn Crawford 45th in the large event. The ladies will jump back into action on Thursday in Larned.

Congratulations to the Lady Cardinal Tennis team for their performance at the Great Bend Invitational today. HHS finished in 2nd Place in the eight team field that consisted of much larger WAC league schools. Results: Mila Simic-1st #1 singles, Annabelle Gonzalez-2nd #2 singles, Braylin Rossman/Aubree Martin-7th #1 doubles, Miette Kaiser/Callie Loesch-5th #2 doubles.

The Cardinal Football team lost on the road to Hesston 23-16 tonight. The back and forth game between the two state ranked teams featured five lead changes. HHS will be back in action at home next Friday against new CKL foe Cheney at 7pm.
