The Cardinal Varsity Basketball squads kicked off the Keady Classic tonight in Larned. The girls fell short to Bucklin 45-40 and will play again Thursday at 5:30pm. The boys scored early and often to beat Bucklin 60-36 and advance to the semi finals Friday at 7:00pm against the winner of Kinsley/Larned.
The Boys Wrestling team began their season in Pratt today competing against 20 schools. Congratulations to Colin Mater for winning a 2nd Place medal to complete the event. The Cardinals will be back in action Friday at Ellis.



Congratulations to the Cardinal Basketball teams on their Road Sweep 🏀 🧹 tonight in Scott City. The Girls used 10 straight free throws down the stretch to win 47-39 in the early game. The boys made huge game winning plays in the 4th quarter to beat the #8 ranked Beavers 62-55 in the nightcap. Both teams will be back in action Monday in the Keady Classic (Larned).


Props to the Hoisington Music Department for an outstanding Winter Concert tonight. The crowd was treated to performances from our various 6th-12th grade bands and 6th-12th grade choirs. In front of a loud and raucous crowd tonight at Elton Brown Field, the Junior Girls topped the Senior Girls in the annual Powder Puff 🏈 game. Despite the dominance from the Class of '27 in the semis and finals, a shoutout to the Class of '26 for scoring not once, but twice in their two games tonight. Prior to the nightcap, the fans were treated to a buzzer beating catch by Reese Vaughn in the Sophomores 6-0 victory over the Frosh for the bronze medals. A special Thanks to Amy Haxton and the Cardinal Crew for their time and effort with this event. Training camp will begin soon as the Juniors attempt to run it back!


Congratulations to three members of our league champion Cardinal Volleyball team that were honored on the CKL All League team. Sofia Simic was a unanimous 1st Team selection. Kelsi Maier was chosen to the 2nd Team and Miya Nachtigal was chosen Honorable Mention. Thanks for representing our school and community!

The Cardinal Football Team marches on! Hoisington beat Hillsboro 46-6 tonight in the KSHSAA Playoffs, while running the record to 9-0. With the victory, we will now host Garden Plain (9-1) next Friday at home in the Sectionals. #worthy

Congratulations to our own Kelsi Maier and Sofia Simic for making the KSHSAA 3A State All Tournament Team last weekend.


The Hoisington Cross Country teams wrapped up their seasons today at the KSHSAA 3A State Event in Lawrence. Brody Rossman (Jr) finished 14th with a time of 16:51 while Tianna Lutters (Sr) crossed the line in 47th place with a time of 21:45. Congratulations to Brody and Tianna for qualifying for State, to all of our runners that made improvements with each race, and to Coach Cook and Coach Lutters for their leadership.
The Cardinal Volleyball team capped off a great season with a 4th place finish in the KSHSAA 3A State Championships this weekend in Hutchinson. Hoisington fell to eventual champion Silver Lake in the semi finals and then lost to Wichita Trinity Academy in 3 sets. Congratulations on a 38-7 record, a league title, a Regional title, and a return trip to the Final Four...We are so proud of you!


Congratulations to the Hoisington Football Team for moving on to the next round of the State Playoffs. The Cardinals beat Halstead 74-24, and ran their unblemished record to 8-0 with tonight's victory. We will now play CKL foe Hillsboro next Friday at 7pm #advance

CARDINAL VOLLEYBALL ADVANCES!!
Hoisington bounced back from an opening match loss to beat Osage City and #2 seeded Riverton and move on to the KSHSAA 3A Semi Finals Saturday.
We will play #1 seeded Silver Lake (44-1) at 9am in the Hutchinson Sports Arena.



State Cross Country Information: Please come out and support our Cross Country coaches and runners heading to the 3A State Tournament tomorrow (Friday) at 10:30 am for a sendoff. They will meet at the East Side of the school, head to Casey's, and then back up Main Street on their way to Lawrence. Brody Rossman will compete Saturday morning at 10am and Tianna Lutters at 11:45am at Rim Rock. Good Luck Cardinals! Go Brody! Go Tianna!
