The Hoisington Baseball and Softball teams hosted Smoky Valley tonight in our final league games of the season. The ⚾️ Team split their games, losing the first game 4-1 and winning the nightcap 10-7. The 🥎 Team lost both games to the Vikings 9-7 and 13-7. It was also Senior Night and 4 were honored between games: Marcus Ingram (Baseball), Rylee Vaughn (Softball), Kelsi Maier (Softball), and Sierra Marsell (Softball). The Cardinal Golf⛳️ team finished in 3rd place today in a tough field at Ellsworth. Mason Martin was the 7th place medalist and Logan Cossel took the 10th place medal. The boys will be back in action Monday at the CKL Tournament in Nickerson.
The Cardinal Softball Team dropped a pair of non-league games to Beloit tonight, 5-3 and 9-4. The girls will return to action at home Thursday at 4pm against Smoky Valley.

The Cardinal Tennis Team beat Great Bend in a dual over the weekend 8-1. All the doubles teams swept the Panthers, propelling them to victory. It is another busy week for the netters with CKL Monday and Regionals this upcoming weekend. Both event are at Smoky Valley in Lindsborg.

The Cardinal Baseball and Softball Teams were in action today at Halstead. The ⚾️ Team dropped their doubleheader 7-2 and 10-5, while the 🥎 team defeated the host Dragons 10-8 and 10-9 in a thrilling comeback fashion.
Today's Cardinal Tennis Invitational has been canceled due to the weather. In lieu of rescheduling an entire tournament, Hoisington and Great Bend will meet tomorrow at 3 PM for a dual at Veterans Park in Great Bend.
Hoisington High School served as the CKL Art Festival Host today at McPherson College. Props to our Art Instructor, Jeremy Dembowski, who organized/ran a great event 👏👏 The Cardinals were well represented with the following students and their art work: Isabella Mickle (Silver Medal), Tre Register (Bronze Medal), Erin Smith, Heather Ward, Samantha Merlau, Brooklynn Flowers, Danika Scott, Mila Simic, Aiden Rexwinkle, and Kaisha Woydziak.
The Cardinal Track and Field Program posted big wins today as host to the Bill Kimble Invitational. The Girls Team took top honors with 145 points, while the Boys Team won with a score of 135. In addition, five Seniors were honored: Tianna Lutters, Taylen Morales, Carson Mason, Carrson BroKar, and Layton Hoffman 👏👏 Moving forward, both teams will be competing at the Beloit Invitational on Friday.

Congratulations to the Cardinal Track/Field athletes that achieved top-3 finishes today at the Conrad Nightingale Invitational in Halstead. Leading the way for HHS was Layton Hoffman who took 1st place 🥇 in the Shot Put and Discus. Marley Bittel brought home 2nd place 🥈 in the 100 and 200. Other medalists were: Taylen Morales (3rd - Pole Vault), Brody Rossman (3rd- 3200), and Kinley Wilkens (2nd - 800). The Track/Field team will be at home Tuesday for the annual Bill Kimble Invitational.
The Cardinal Baseball/Softball teams were back in action at home tonight. HHS Baseball split with Hillsboro, winning the opener 5-3 before losing the nightcap 10-3. HHS Softball swept Hillsboro with scores of 11-4 and 13-5. Both teams will be on the road next Tuesday at TMP. On a side note, Lady Cardinal Pitcher, Brynn Tarlton (JR), was honored for her 100th career strikeout earlier this week in Haven. Congratulations 🎉👏

The road trip to Reno County was unkind to the Cardinal 🥎⚾️ teams today. The Softball team lost to Haven 2-0, 8-2 and the Baseball team lost to the host Wildcats 7-2, 11-0. Both programs will be back in action at home Thursday with JV games against Pratt, and then the CKL Varsity games pick back up Friday with home double headers against Hillsboro.
