The Cardinal Football team lost on the road to Hesston 23-16 tonight. The back and forth game between the two state ranked teams featured five lead changes. HHS will be back in action at home next Friday against new CKL foe Cheney at 7pm.

CONGRATULATIONS TRISTIN COMPTON 👏👏 Cardinal Cross Country runner Tristin Compton broke a school record today at the Hesston Invitational, running a 20.22 in the 5K. Other top runners were Brody Rossman, James Kimbrough, and Jensynn Williams. Next up for the HHS runners will be Thursday in Herington.
The Cardinal Golf team competed in the heat shortened Medicine Lodge Invitational today. The HHS foursome of Alaina Rubio, Samantha Lovett, Rilynn Crawford, and Olivia Chambers will return to the links next Monday at Pratt.
Congrats 👏 to the Cardinal Tennis Team for their runner up finish in today's Hoisington Invitational. Mila Simic (1st- #1 Singles), Annabelle Gonzalez (2nd- #2 Singles), Aubree Martin/Braylin Rossman (3rd- #1 Doubles), and Miette Kaiser/Callie Loesch (3rd, #2 Doubles) all placed. HHS will be back in action Saturday morning at the Great Bend Invitational.
Congratulations to the Cardinal Volleyball Team for their home sweep of Haven (25-7, 25-3) and St John (25-12, 25-15) tonight. HHS is now 10-0 on the young season.
Cardinal Athletics Time Changes: Monday's JV football game in Hillsboro has been pushed back to 7pm to accommodate the heat. Tuesday's Golf tournament in Medicine Lodge has been moved up to 10am. Finally, our lone home Varsity Tennis meet on Tuesday has been moved up to 9am. Stay Cool !!

In conjunction with KSHSAA, the Cardinal Cheer and Dance teams hosted their annual Spirit Spreader this morning at the Activity Center. There were 100 + participants from 12 High Schools/Middle Schools.
The HHS Golf team began their season this morning at the Hesston Invitational. The 4 member squad (Alaina Rubio, Samantha Lovett, Rilynn Crawford, and Olivia Chambers) will again hit the links next Tuesday at Medicine Lodge.
The Cardinal Cross Country teams began their fall campaign today at the Great Bend Invitational. In the Varsity Boys Division, Brody Rossman finished in 8th place (17:20). In the Varsity Girls Division, Tristin Compton finished in 14th (21:04) and Jensynn Williams finished 36th (22:19). Up next: The Hesston Invitational on Thursday.

Congratulations to the Cardinal Volleyball Team for extending their unbeaten record to 8-0 tonight 👏👏 HHS defeated host Dodge City in the opener 25-21, 25-14 and then Holcomb in three sets 20-25, 25-20, 25-12. Come out and support all three program levels at the Activity Center next Tuesday in a triangular with Haven and St John beginning at 5pm.
The Cardinal volleyball team improved to 6-0 with a pair of sweeps tonight at the Activity Center, defeating Scott City, 25-12 and 25-16, and Southeast of Saline, 25-13 and 25-21. HHS will hit the road for the first time this season Thursday when the Cardinals travel to Dodge City.
Cardinal Fans: due to the extreme heat 🥵 this week, there have been several changes. Tomorrow's home JV Tennis tournament has been postponed. Thursday's Golf Tournament in Hesston and Thursday's Tennis Tournament in Larned have both been moved up to 9am. Finally, our Friday home Football game with Hillsboro has been moved back an hour to an 8pm Kickoff. Thanks for your understanding.

After dispatching of Nickerson and Haven in pool play, Hoisington beat Hillsboro in the semi finals and Halstead in the title game. All three 🏐 program levels will be in action Tuesday as we host SE Saline/Scott City in a triangular.

The 17th Annual USD 431 Education Foundation Golf Tournament will be on Saturday, September 5 at Lake Barton Golf Course.
