Make a Difference in Our Schools and Community – Consider Running for School Board!
Are you passionate about education and eager to contribute to the future of our students? USD 431 currently has three At-Large School Board positions open, and we encourage community-minded individuals to consider running.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be a registered voter residing within the USD 431 School District.
You cannot be an employee of a school within the district.
How to File:
To become a candidate, visit the Barton County Clerk’s Office in Great Bend to complete the necessary paperwork.
Filing Deadline:
Tuesday, June 2, 2025

The 6th & 7th grade Awards Ceremony will be on Wednesday, May 21st, 1:00pm in the Middle School Gym. Please enter through the east gym doors.
8th graders will be dismissed at 11:00am tomorrow, after the Pie in the Face Fundraiser and Excellent Eighth Grade Exit. 8th grade parents are welcome to participate in exit. Please call the MS with any questions.

Reminder: The OSCARS are tomorrow night from 6 PM - 8 PM at the Hoisington Middle School Gym! Remember requirements had to be met to attend!

Today's (5/7) tennis meet has been postponed till next week. We will announce the official date as it is given to us.
Parents, can you please assist us?
We have heard of a new Trend going around TikTok where students are intentionally jamming their pencils in to one of the USB Ports on their Chromebooks , which then destroys the Chromebook.
Please help your students understand there will be consequences for these actions if they make a poor choice in this way to damage district property. Consequences may including but are not limited to a $235 fee to replace the Chromebook,

HMS: 6th Graders took part in the Lacrosse Little Rascals Track meet and what a great experience! Way to represent with positive behaviors all day. Love seeing our students cheering each other and other schools on!
