The Blood Drive Scheduled for Hoisington High School has been moved to Hoisington Lincoln Elementary for today June 21st. This Blood Drive will run between 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm. From the Hoisington Public Library: Hoisington Post Office is one of the post offices in the state of Kansas that has art painted in the 1930s. Learn all about it and others in “A New Deal for Public Art in the Free State,” by Kara Heitz at 10 a.m. June 17. Turf
Purchasing a part of the old Turf Three options: Option #1 1 foot by 1 foot squares will be cut and sold over the Labor Day weekend and celebrations that weekend. Option #2 Rolls of the turf will be cut and rolled up at the very beginning of the summer. These roles will be 7.5 feet wide and the width of the football field. Heavy equipment will be required to remove these roles, as they will be very heavy. These may be purchased in advance for $250, and the purchaser will be responsible for removal of the roles. Purchasers will be communicated with concerning the final date they will be allowed to pick up their turf. If the turf is not removed in a timely manner the purchaser will forfeit their fee to the district. To purchase a role a form will need to be filled out at the district office and funds secured by May 24th, 2023. End Zones will be first come first serve. Turf
May 9th The moving Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be coming from Claflin through Hoisington on its way to Great Bend. Please come out and line the route on Kansas Highway 4 turning south down Main street in Hoisington They will be leaving Claflin at about 1:40pm and traveling 30 mph will be coming through Hoisington about 2:20 pm. There will be the Wall, a team of motorcycle riders, and American Flags. People are encouraged to bring their American Flags to wave as well.
